This policy covers the Android application Wireless Monitor, published by Granite Gecko Systems LLC.

Summary

Wireless Monitor is a fully on-device app. It does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no backend server, no user account, no analytics or crash-reporting SDK, and no advertising. Every reading you take, every snapshot you save, and every optional GPS tag stays in the app's local database on your phone until you delete it or uninstall the app.

What Wireless Monitor collects

Nothing is collected off your device. Wireless Monitor collects no user or device data in any of the categories Google Play asks about.

What it does not collect

Wireless Monitor does not collect any of the following:

  • Location
  • Personal info
  • Financial info
  • Health and fitness
  • Messages
  • Photos and videos
  • Audio files
  • Files and docs
  • Calendar
  • Contacts
  • App activity
  • Web browsing
  • App info and performance
  • Device or other IDs

What stays on your device

Wireless Monitor reads and stores locally the measurements it is built to show you:

  • Cellular signal readings reported by your device's modem (RSRP in dBm, network type, carrier name, band).
  • Wi-Fi signal readings reported by Android's scan APIs (RSSI, SSID, channel, link speed).
  • Bluetooth device identifiers and signal strength from nearby Classic and BLE devices.
  • Magnetic field magnitude from your device's magnetometer.
  • Optional GPS coordinates only when you choose to save a labeled snapshot or turn on continuous logging. The coordinates are written to the same local database as the reading itself and never leave your phone.

Data transmitted

Wireless Monitor transmits nothing to Granite Gecko Systems LLC or any third party. The only network traffic the app initiates is to Google Play's billing library on the device, to verify the one-time in-app purchase that unlocks the full version after the 7-day trial. That transaction is handled by Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

How long it is kept

Readings, snapshots, and any optional GPS tags are stored only in the app's local database on your phone, and remain there until you clear them or uninstall the app. Nothing is retained by us, because nothing reaches us.

Deleting your data

There is no account for us to delete, because the app has none and holds no data off your device. Everything the app has stored is on your phone and under your control.

  • In the app: Settings → Data → Clear all history, and Clear all snapshots. Each wipes the local database.
  • Uninstalling Wireless Monitor removes everything the app has stored.
  • If you want written confirmation that we hold nothing, email us and we will reply confirming the same.

Children

Wireless Monitor is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address with a new effective date.
